about the randstad employer brand award

The Randstad Employer Brand Awards reflect the appeal of the 75 largest commercial employers in Hong Kong, recognised by at least 10% of the population. The results of the Randstad Employer Brand Research (REBR) are based on public perception and focus on two main areas:

  • overall brand or company awareness
  • absolute employer attractiveness

The goal of the research is to identify the factors that job seekers prioritise when searching for their ideal employer, and to measure their perception of commercial companies in Hong Kong SAR.

To ensure a level playing field for all companies in the survey, the awards are not open for nomination, and the results are solely based on the opinions of the local workforce, making it the only award that truly represents 'the people's choice'.

Respondents from a representative cross-section of regions, ages, and genders were asked to identify companies they recognise and indicate the extent to which they would like to work for them in order to generate the list of the largest commercial companies.

The survey then evaluated employee value proposition drivers, such as salary, benefits, work atmosphere, job content, and other factors.

This independent research is the most representative employer brand study in the world, reaching out to nearly 163,000 respondents across 32 markets, including 2,750 who are based in Hong Kong SAR in January 2023.
