The dynamics of the employer-employee relationship have shifted significantly throughout the course of the pandemic. In Hong Kong, job seekers are making deliberate choices regarding the type of company they want to work for as the number of jobs continues to outweigh the number of skilled talent. It is therefore critical for companies to continue investing in strengthening their employer brand to attract top talent.”
“We’re delighted to once again be named Hong Kong’s Most Attractive Employer, which is especially meaningful amid our 50th anniversary celebrations this year. Our achievements are driven by our constant pursuit of originality, which inspires the pioneering spirit we’re renowned for. That said, originality wouldn’t be possible without the human element, and it’s our people who’ve always made the difference. Moving forward, we’ll continue to do everything we can to make Swire Properties an even greater place to work, where our people can thrive and reach their full potential,” said Anna Thompson, Director, Human Resources at Swire Properties.

about randstad employer brand awards
The results of the Randstad Employer Brand Research (REBR) are based on public perception and focus on two main areas:
- overall brand or company awareness
- absolute employer attractiveness
The research seeks to understand what job seekers look for in an ideal employer and measures their perception of the commercial employers, creating a level playing field for all of Hong Kong’s commercial companies.
The awards are not open for nomination and the results are based solely on the opinions of the local workforce – making it the only award that truly represents ‘the people’s choice’. A list of the largest commercial companies (based on the number of employees) is presented to a representative cross-section of respondents based on region, age and gender.
The respondents were asked to identify companies whose name they recognise and indicate to what extent they would like to work for them. This was then followed up with an evaluation of employee value proposition drivers, such as salary and employee benefits, work atmosphere, job content and more, for each of the commercial companies surveyed. This would indicate that the results would represent the 'employers of choice'.
