about the job.

As a Senior Data Governance & BI Engineer, you will:

• Design, implement, and monitor enterprise-wide data governance initiatives to serve as the strategic architect of data integrity.

• Oversee data security protocols and ensure strict compliance with global data privacy and regulatory standards across distributed networks.

• Serve as the critical bridge between business stakeholders and core data engineering squads, ensuring commercial logic and business rules are flawlessly embedded into data pipelines.

• Design, deploy, and optimise high-performance interactive dashboards to translate intricate business dynamics into scalable technical solutions.

• Spearhead the integration of enterprise visualisation tools (specifically Tableau) across disparate data streams, including SQL databases, legacy flat files, and cloud platforms.

• Conduct technical training and knowledge-sharing workshops for end-users to promote a data-driven corporate culture.

• Maintain immaculate, institutional-grade technical documentation and metadata frameworks within a modern cloud environment.

skills & experiences required.

• Minimum 8 years of professional experience within complex data management ecosystems.

• Minimum 5 years of dedicated expertise in complex Tableau development and data visualisation architecture.

• Proven track record in the Global Sourcing, Supply Chain, or Enterprise Retail sectors, with deep practical exposure to data governance methodologies.

• Advanced proficiency in SQL alongside a robust understanding of ETL/ELT pipelines and modern data warehousing concepts.

• Hands-on experience operating within major public cloud environments, with specific expertise in GCP.

• Familiarity with AI-driven documentation platforms (e.g., NotebookLM) alongside standard enterprise agile suites such as JIRA and Confluence.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a highly quantitative analytical field.

• Excellent command of English is required; professional fluency in Cantonese or Mandarin is highly advantageous for regional stakeholder collaboration.

• Demonstrated ability in adaptive problem solving, first-principles thinking, and navigating complex organisational change.
