- Collaborate with project teams to gather, consolidate, and translate functional and technical business requirements into actionable retail system designs.
- Write clean, high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code for high-traffic e-commerce and web applications.
- Support business users through User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and facilitate smooth platform deployments.
- Troubleshoot software bugs, patch system vulnerabilities, and proactively protect e-commerce platforms against security threats.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies to optimise operational workflows and elevate digital retail system performance.
skills & experience required.
- Education: Higher Diploma or Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in web development, ideally within retail, e-commerce, or fast-paced consumer-facing sectors (candidates with less experience will be considered for a Junior position).
- Core Tech Stack: Strong proficiency in Python 3, MySQL (5.7/8), Memcached, and Redis.
- Bonus Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Node.js, PHP7, HTML5, CSS3, or Bootstrap; basic understanding of Git and AWS cloud environments.
- Languages: Fluent Cantonese with good command of written English and Chinese; ability to communicate in Mandarin for business needs.
- Soft Skills: Self-motivated, adaptable, and passionate about driving digital innovation in consumer technology.
