about the job.
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, month-end financial closing, and consolidated corporate financial reporting.
- Manage the compilation, review, and timely submission of liquid capital computations in strict compliance with SFC Financial Resources Rules (FRR).
- Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, variance analysis reports, and strategic financial forecasts for executive management.
- Act as a primary liaison with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory authorities to ensure seamless statutory audit processes.
- Evaluate internal accounting control systems and drive continuous process optimisation through automated reporting system upgrades.
- Collaborate with business development and risk teams to analyze capital requirements for new product rollouts and business scaling.
skills & experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.
- CPA, ACCA, or equivalent professional accounting qualification is strictly mandatory.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in financial and regulatory reporting within an SFC-licensed brokerage or financial institution; candidates with more experience will be considered for Senior Manager.
- In-depth technical knowledge of SFC FRR requirements, HKFRS accounting standards, and local tax frameworks.
- Self-motivated and agile mindset with high attention to detail; immediate availability or short notice period is strongly preferred.
- Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin is mandatory to effectively coordinate with regional business units and mainland stakeholders.
