As a Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Overseeing the performance professional qualfiications in carrying out its statutory functions.
- Assessing and providing strategic recommendations for implementation of auditing, accounting, and assurance standards.
- Maintain a robust oversight framework and coordinate with external stakeholders
- Developing policy positions on audit quality, and emerging topics
- Collaborating with regulators, professional bodies, audit firms
- Supporting the department's growth and contributing to its strategic objectives.
- Fulfilling other responsibilities as assigned.
skills & experience required.
To be considered for this critical regulatory position, you must possess:
- Status as a qualified Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a related discipline.
- At least 6 years of post-qualification experience in accounting firms or regulatory bodies.
- Passion and strong commitment to building a long-term career within a regulatory body, with a proactive and accountable approach.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail, sound judgement, and the ability to manage multiple tasks independently in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, relationship management and presentation skills, with effective communication across a range of stakeholders.
- Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese.
