- Perform comprehensive credit risk assessments and financial analysis on international corporate counterparts and commercial partners.
- Conduct thorough due diligence, KYC evaluations, and financial statement analysis to establish appropriate credit limits and payment terms.
- Monitor portfolio credit exposure, counterparty risk ratings, and payment behaviours to mitigate default risks proactively.
- Structure credit risk mitigation instruments, including letters of credit, bank guarantees, and credit insurance policies.
- Collaborate closely with commercial, trading, legal, and treasury departments to facilitate smooth transaction flows while safeguarding company assets.
- Prepare detailed credit risk reports and present strategic recommendations to executive leadership and regional credit committees.
skills & experience required.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in credit risk management, credit analysis, or trade finance due diligence within commercial banking, physical trading, or multinational corporates.
- Strong expertise in financial statement analysis, counterparty credit scoring, and trade risk mitigation tools.
- Solid understanding of international trade practices, legal contracts, and global financial standards.
- Experience in commodity teams, trade finance is advantageous
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline; professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or FRM are highly advantageous.
- Excellent analytical, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
- Professional fluency in English and Mandarin or Cantonese is required to engage with regional business stakeholders effectively.
