We are seeking a dynamic Data Center Operations Manager to lead our engineering and technician teams in optimizing site operations and infrastructure. You will take complete ownership of server hardware deployments, advanced troubleshooting, physical security, compliance, and vendor-driven projects. Working hand-in-hand with the Data Center Facilities Manager and their team, you will bridge the gap between IT infrastructure and facility engineering to ensure maximum uptime and operational excellence.
about the job.Core Responsibilities
- Operational Leadership: Lead daily data center operations, manage large-scale events, and partner with facility engineering to ensure maximum infrastructure uptime.
- Process Optimization: Establish standardized workflows, drive continuous improvement, and implement automation to eliminate operational inefficiencies.
- Risk & Compliance: Manage incident escalations, enforce internal controls/audit standards, and lead regular scenario drills to ensure team readiness.
- Stakeholder & Client Management: Act as the central liaison across global, cross-functional, and vendor teams while managing client SLAs and Remote-Hands requests.
- Metrics & Analytics: Develop operational scorecards and KPIs to monitor performance, driving root-cause analysis for any service gaps.
- Team Development: Recruit, coach, and schedule frontline staff, fostering a high-performance culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
skills & experiences required.
- University or College degree or certification(s) in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or equivalent work experience
- At least five years’ experience managing operations in Production data center, 3 years of experience managing technical teams and team leader
- Data Center related certification - CDCP/S/E, CDCMP/TP
- Network certification - CCNA, Network+ is a bonus
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with English and Cantonese is mandatory
