Assist the Team Lead in monitoring daily operations and performing rigorous verification functions across all import/export trade and Financial Institution (FI) transactions.
Oversee structured trade solutions including accounts receivable financing, factoring, and non-trade transactions such as Bonds, Guarantees, and Standby Letters of Credit (L/C).
Conduct meticulous document checking of presented import/export profiles against L/C requirements in strict accordance with UCP and international standard practices.
Execute rigorous transaction due diligence and pre-assessment checking to satisfy service standards, internal procedure manuals, and anti-money laundering frameworks.
Review, update, and refine internal operational risk policies, guidelines, and frameworks to mitigate business vulnerability.
Drive ad-hoc operational projects, system enhancement initiatives, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for updated banking platforms and SWIFT Alliance (ISO20022) protocols.
Provide agile cross-team support across the wider Banking Operations department as required by management.
skills & experiences required.
A university degree holder in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related financial discipline.
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience within trade services operations, with 3 to 5 years of dedicated experience in trade customer service and supervisory duties.
Profound, authoritative knowledge of international trade rules including ICC UCP, ISBP, URC, ISP, and URDG.
Possession of a valid Certified Documentary Credit Specialist (CDCS) qualification is highly advantageous.
Deep familiarity with AML, Sanction screening, and Trade-Based Money Laundering (TBML) risk frameworks.
Demonstrated exposure to SWIFT Alliance (ISO20022), core banking architectures, and trade system development projects.
Highly organised, meticulous, and independent professional who thrives under pressure in a multi-tasking environment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-oriented mindset.
Excellent command of both spoken and written English and Chinese, including fluent Mandarin.
Proficient in corporate PC applications, specifically MS Word and MS Excel.
