Business Strategy & Expansion: Partner with senior management to define, execute, and monitor strategic priorities for the APAC Equities platform, driving market entry, new product rollouts, and trading capability developments.
Governance & Risk Framework: Maintain a robust control environment supporting daily trading activities, monitoring market, operational, and conduct risks while ensuring alignment with internal policies and regulatory frameworks.
Project & Change Execution: Lead complex, cross-functional projects spanning Front Office and Technology to upgrade trading platforms and electronic infrastructure from ideation through to Business-as-Usual (BAU) transition.
Stakeholder Management: Serve as the core interface between the Equities business and global corporate support functions, facilitating cross-regional coordination across Asia, Japan, EMEA, and the Americas.
Run-the-Bank (RTB) Support: Provide day-to-day operational support to trading desks, coordinating responses and post-incident remediation for system outages, credit risk events, and regulatory escalations.
Performance Insight: Deliver data-driven insights and management reporting on business performance, resource allocation, and risk exposures to advise senior executive decision-making.
skills & experiences required.
Minimum 3 to 7+ years of experience in Equities, Global Markets, or Business Management within a reputable investment banking environment is highly preferred.
Proven track record in delivering complex, end-to-end strategic initiatives and managing cross-functional front-to-back projects.
Solid understanding of regulatory frameworks, supervisory structures, and risk management (market, operational, and conduct risk) within trading businesses.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence cross-border teams and head-office frameworks.
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to operate effectively amidst competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Fluency in English is required; professional proficiency in Japanese or Mandarin is an advantage to facilitate cross-regional stakeholder management.
