about the job.As a Relationship Manager within the Investment and Retirement Solutions team, you will act as a primary advisory bridge for private wealth and corporate clients. Unlike traditional private wealth mandates, this position does not require an immediate personal portfolio of transferable AUM. Instead, the role is designed for a highly aggressive and operationally fluent commercial professional who can leverage our extensive group network and institutional platform to maximize business opportunities.
Your primary responsibilities include:
- Portfolio & Strategic Client Management: Serve as the dedicated partner for an assigned investment portfolio, managing high-touch inquiries, driving proactive client engagement, and cultivating long-term institutional trust.
- Holistic Financial & Retirement Analysis: Conduct structured financial needs assessments focusing on high-value wealth preservation, life insurance asset structuring, legacy planning, and MPF/ORSO portfolio optimizations.
- Onboarding & Risk Gatekeeping: Own the end-to-end client onboarding and premium account opening frameworks. Ensure absolute, zero-error execution of Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML) verifications, Source of Wealth (SoW) analysis, and medical or financial underwriting requirements.
- Corporate and Employee Benefits Integration: Actively engage with corporate accounts to evaluate, pitch, and execute tailored Employee Benefits (EB) architectures, group medical protection, and retirement platform enhancements.
- Execution & Technical Support: Coordinate closely with internal middle/back-office operations, legal compliance, and investment strategists to ensure seamless trade executions, asset allocations, and credit financing structures.
- Ecosystem Synergy & Capitalization: Demonstrate a highly proactive approach to discovering commercial gaps and cross-selling high-value wealth solutions across our broader corporate group networks.
- Regulatory Compliance: Uphold complete adherence to local regulatory frameworks, including the guidelines of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA), Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), and Insurance Authority (IA).
skills & experiences required.
- Professional Longevity: A minimum of 3 to 20 years of proven experience as a Relationship Manager (RM), Assistant RM, Senior Wealth Specialist, MPF/Pension Consultant, or Corporate Employee Benefits Account Executive. This experience should be rooted within a reputable retail bank, private bank, EAM, corporate brokerage, or insurance organization.
- Product & Operational Domain Expertise: Solid, functional knowledge of banking operational workflows, account opening protocols, and KYC/AML guidelines. Deep product fluency in life insurance structures (Whole Life, Universal Life, Annuities), MPF/ORSO mechanics, and corporate group benefits is essential.
- Commercial Mindset & Drive: A highly aggressive, resilient, and self-motivated professional attitude. While transferable AUM is not required, a successful history of achieving performance-linked milestones or meeting volume-driven client acquisition objectives is highly preferred. You must be comfortable thriving in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication & Cultural Alignment: Exceptional presentation and interpersonal skills. Absolute professional fluency in English and Cantonese is essential, while conversational or professional Mandarin is considered a strong operational advantage to service the broader Greater China region.
