Conduct comprehensive AML/CFT risk assessments and perform Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and regular customer reviews within policy timeframes.
Review, analyze, and document suspicious transaction alerts across real-time and post-transaction systems, ensuring timely escalation to the Compliance Department.
Execute key compliance tasks, including the batch screening of Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs) and sanctioned parties, and conduct enhanced due diligence (EDD).
Coordinate across various internal business units to retrieve required documentation and report non-compliance or irregular cases to managers.
Maintain, monitor, and adjust customer risk ratings through rigorous risk factor assessments, handling complex corporate structures including BVI and Cayman accounts.
Support remedial actions addressing AML/CFT deficiencies identified by internal auditors or external regulators, implementing recommendations and revising internal guidelines.
Participate actively in AML regulatory system development, upgrades, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
skills & experiences required.
University degree in Accounting & Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Law, or a related discipline.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in AML compliance; a background with solid banking knowledge is highly preferred.
Enhanced Competency Framework (ECF) qualification on Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) or an equivalent professional qualification is preferred.
Strong familiarity with KYC documentation protocols and prevailing AML regulatory guidelines.
Self-motivated, independent, and analytical, with a proven track record of handling complex file reviews.
An excellent team player possessing good leadership and stakeholder management skills.
Good command of both verbal and written English and Chinese (including Mandarin and Cantonese).
