About Our Client
Our client is a distinguished, well-funded tertiary education institution in Hong Kong recognized for driving digital innovation. To support an ambitious digital evolution, they are expanding their technology leadership team to overhaul key mobile, web, and governance platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Transformation & Strategy: Direct the end-to-end cloud migration strategy (Azure) and modernise legacy web, mobile, and Identity/Access Governance infrastructure.
- Architecture & Governance: Establish robust cloud architectural standards, implement best-practice IT governance, and integrate modern tech solutions.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary bridge between business partners and technical teams, converting strategic goals into operational user stories.
- Vendor & Team Leadership: Oversee internal engineering units and direct external system integrators (SIs), including contract negotiations and performance management.
- Service Enhancement: Track core system KPIs to elevate service reliability and ensure seamless digital end-user experiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a relevant discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive IT experience focusing on legacy modernization, cloud transitions, and enterprise architecture.
- Practical expertise in relational databases (e.g., Azure/MS SQL Server); official Azure certifications are advantageous.
- Proven track record in managing cross-functional teams and external vendor engagements; PMP or equivalent credentials preferred.
- Prior background in higher education or university environments is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical mind with exceptional communication skills to engage effectively with executive leadership.
