In this role, you will execute a hybrid mandate encompassing operational risk management, business continuity, and high-level transverse initiatives. Key responsibilities include:
- Facilitating the annual Risk & Control Self-Assessments (RCSA) across all internal business units and departments.
- Governing the operational incident reporting lifecycle and overseeing internal control frameworks.
- Structuring and delivering comprehensive operational risk reports for governance committees.
- Conducting ad-hoc gap analyses against the local banking regulator's Supervisory Policy Manuals (SPMs), self-assessments, and industry good practices.
- Minimizing third-party exposures by overseeing outsourcing risks and conducting periodic contract reviews.
- Developing and maintaining business continuity plans to strengthen operational resilience in alignment with regional frameworks.
- Supporting executive leadership on critical transverse projects, including deposit protection schemes, climate risk assessment exercises (C-RAF), and policy updates.

- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related academic discipline.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of relevant operational risk management experience specifically within a banking environment.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep familiarity with local banking regulatory frameworks (such as HKMA guidelines) and risk management best practices.
- Technical Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, problem-solving skills, and proficiency in risk assessment tools and methodologies.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, execution, and communication skills to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Certifications: Professional credentials such as the ECF-Operational Risk Management (Core or Professional) certification are highly preferred.
- Language: Complete fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory.
