As an M&A / Private Equity Associate, your key responsibilities will include:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating transaction documentation, including sale and purchase agreements, shareholders' agreements, and joint venture contracts.
- Managing legal due diligence processes and coordinating multi-jurisdictional deal teams.
- Advising corporate clients and financial sponsors on regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and local legal considerations.
- Assisting partners and senior lawyers in structuring complex cross-border private equity investments and corporate acquisitions.
- Actively participating in client management, deal execution, and business development initiatives.
skills & experience required.
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- NQ to 4 years PQE as a corporate lawyer gained within a reputable international or top-tier law firm.
- Admission as a solicitor in Hong Kong, England & Wales, Australia, or another recognised common law jurisdiction.
- Strong track record of deal experience in M&A, private equity, joint ventures, and general corporate advisory work.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin and/or Cantonese) is required due to the regional client base and transaction documents.
- Exceptional legal drafting, analytical, negotiation, and project management skills.
