An exciting opportunity for a Lead Software Engineer to take full technical ownership of an end-to-end e-commerce ecosystem in Hong Kong. You will single-handedly architect, build, and scale high-volume Shopify Plus platforms, data integrations, and cloud infrastructure using TypeScript, Next.js, React, and AWS.

about the job.
- Architect, build, scale, and maintain end-to-end web applications, subscriptions, and data integration platforms.
- Own critical operational data flows and backend integrations connecting Shopify Plus with enterprise ERPs and warehouse management systems (Loop Returns, D365, GPS/XLWMS, STORD, PayPal).
- Write clean, production-ready code while establishing testing bars, automating background workflows, and managing security, monitoring, and CI/CD pipelines end-to-end.
- Develop robust server-side tracking, conversion APIs, product catalog feeds, and analytics pipelines to support marketing and growth strategies.
- Maintain system uptime, monitor latency and application logs, lead incident response, perform root-cause analysis, and execute performance tuning.
skills & experience required.
- Minimum 5+ years of software engineering experience with a proven track record of operating as a full-stack engineer in high-volume production environments.
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on Shopify Plus expertise (checkout extensibility, custom app architecture, multi-currency setups, CAPI, server-side tracking).
- Expert proficiency in modern full-stack development using TypeScript, Next.js 16, React 19, Node.js, and PostgreSQL.
- Demonstrated capability to work independently as a "one-person engine," taking ambiguous product requirements from initial architecture to live production release.
- Strong background in cloud infrastructure and microservices (AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, Inngest, Vercel).
- Professional fluency in English with clear, direct technical communication skills.
- Experience in DTC e-commerce, subscription models (e.g., Skio, Recharge), or A/B experimentation platforms is highly desirable.
