As a Data and Artificial Intelligence Architect, your core responsibilities will include:
Designing the overarching corporate data strategy and technical roadmaps to support business-critical goals and the broader Enterprise Architecture (EA) blueprint.
Institutionalising modern data governance frameworks, architectural standards, and operational workflows across the organisation.
Championing the creation of a specialized steering council to direct data and machine learning policies, including ethical standards, data ownership, and compliance protocols.
Translating high-level AI design principles and governance mandates into actionable, practical blueprints that guide day-to-day corporate and engineering choices.
Defining technical patterns and methodologies to construct enterprise-grade data hubs that streamline information exchange between core business applications.
Offering subject matter expertise on technical best practices while proactively identifying, tracking, and mitigating risks within the data and AI landscapes.
Mentoring and educating project teams on the business value of data stewardship to ensure data-driven technology choices.
Documenting all data and AI design artifacts in a highly structured, reusable format that aligns seamlessly with the enterprise architecture depository.
Monitoring emerging trends in data science, analytics, and intelligent automation to spot and pitch high-value business use cases.
Executing miscellaneous ad-hoc technical assignments as requested by organizational leadership.
skills & experience required.
The successful candidate should possess:
A recognised university degree or higher qualification in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related technical field.
A minimum of 10 years of professional IT experience, including at least one year in a dedicated Data Architect role supporting enterprise-level strategic programmes.
A proven track record of designing and deploying massive data hubs, big data analytics engines, and complex data service applications.
Practical, hands-on experience deploying, managing, or developing machine learning technologies and intelligent products for corporate use cases.
Demonstrated experience guiding corporate AI adoption, with a deep understanding of methodologies like model training, development lifecycles, and federated learning.
Strong familiarity with enterprise data modelling, data lifecycle strategies, big data infrastructure, business intelligence tools, and interactive dashboards.
A comprehensive understanding of global and local data governance standards, data protection rules, and privacy legislation.
Solid knowledge of IT governance models, with a strong preference for candidates holding professional certifications like TOGAF.
A natural curiosity and an agile mindset, showcasing the capacity to master and apply newly emerging technologies quickly.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and presentation skills, with the gravitas to sway opinions up to executive and board levels.
A highly analytical, creative, and structured approach when troubleshooting complex, multi-layered technical issues.
Strong interpersonal skills to build trusting, productive partnerships with diverse business leaders across the enterprise.
Complete fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese and/or Mandarin).
