About the Company
Our client, a global leader in international freight forwarding and logistics, is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Assistant IT Manager to oversee their core logistics systems and lead software delivery initiatives. This role offers an exceptional opportunity to drive critical tech operations, manage vendor/internal developer teams, and ensure robust IT infrastructure across supply chain workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Management & Delivery: Manage end-to-end IT projects, oversee project risk management, and ensure deliverables meet business requirements, timelines, and budgets.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and guide a team of software developers, fostering a collaborative culture and ensuring high-quality software solutions.
- Core Logistics Systems Oversight: Oversee the optimization, development, and day-to-day stability of critical logistics platforms (Warehouse Management, Transportation, and Supply Chain systems).
- EDI & Integration Management: Supervise and support the EDI environment, including API/XML integrations, troubleshooting, and bug fixes.
- Testing & Quality Assurance: Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes, document results, and present system demonstrations to key business stakeholders.
- Security & Governance: Ensure system reliability, data protection, and scalability by executing disaster recovery plans and adhering to IT security best practices.
- Global Collaboration: Work closely with regional and global business units to align IT initiatives with international compliance and organizational goals.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, Supply Chain, or a related discipline.
- Certifications: PMP, PMI-ACP, or Agile certifications are highly preferred.
- Technical & Industry Experience:
- Proven experience in 3PL, supply chain solutions, or logistics systems.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with EDI, XML, or API integrations.
- Strong background in software development processes and modern IT infrastructure/security frameworks.
- Experience with FMCG or complex 3PL environments is a strong plus.
- Soft Skills: Self-motivated, adept at managing tight project deadlines, and comfortable working in a multi-cultural team.
- Languages: Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Mandarin.
