about randstad employer brand research

Celebrating its 18th edition globally, the awards from the Randstad Employer Brand Research are presented each year to the most attractive employer in 30 markets across the globe with more than 175,000 employees. It is the most representative and inclusive employer brand research in the world.

The outcomes of the awards are based on public perception and focuses on overall brand awareness and absolute attractiveness. This creates a level playing field for all competing companies instead of giving an advantage to large multinationals with higher name recognition than smaller companies. This award is not open for nomination and the results are based solely on the opinions and votes of the local workforce – making it the only award that is truly representing ‘the people’s choice’.

The list of companies surveyed are determined by the local workforce size in Hong Kong SAR, whereby the 75 largest employers with more than 1,000 employees participate. Additional companies surveyed outside of the top 75 largest employers are selected by Randstad to provide a comprehensive sector representation. The survey sample mirrors the Hong Kong SAR population, based on region, age and gender. To determine “name awareness” of the employer brand, respondents were asked to identify companies they recognized. To determine “name attractiveness” of the employer brand, they were asked if they would like to work for those companies. Respondents were prompted to evaluate each of the companies they would like to work for across ten “EVP factors” such as salary & benefits, job security, work atmosphere and work life balance.
