- Oversee, review, negotiate, and resolve complex claims across Accident & Health, Commercial Packages, and Personal Packages within designated authorities.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on complex and legal claim matters to internal and external partners.
- Support the Line Manager in daily team management, including training, mentoring, and professional development of team members.
- Identify and investigate suspicious or fraudulent claims, taking necessary recovery and mitigation actions.
- Manage relationships with intermediaries, customers, legal counsel, approved vendors, and Third-Party Administrators (TPAs).
- Control vendor expenses, legal expenditure, and perform periodic internal file reviews to monitor recoveries.
- Engage with senior management to align operational claims delivery with overarching business strategy.
- Maintain strict adherence to all local legal, regulatory, and corporate compliance standards.
skills & experience required.
- Minimum 7-10 years of insurance claims experience, with proven expertise in A&H or Package lines.
- Prior supervisory or team management experience within relevant lines of business is preferred.
- Professional insurance qualification (e.g., ANZIIF, ACII) preferred or actively in progress.
- Strong track record of handling complex legal cases independently with solid negotiation and analytical judgment.
- Fluency in spoken and written English and Cantonese is required.
- Legal training or background is considered a distinct advantage.
