- Data Centre Operations & Asset Management: Oversee, manage, and maintain all IT assets and equipment within the data center, including processors, accelerators, network infrastructure, storage solutions, and the full software stack. This includes leading 7x24 operations incident response to quickly address and resolve any issues impacting system performance or availability within the region.
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead, mentor, and manage a regional team of 30+ engineers/technicians, encompassing both IT operations and facility management specialists. Foster a collaborative environment and support professional growth.
- Budget & Cost Optimization: Prepare and manage the data center operations budget, identify opportunities for cost optimization, and regularly review operational costs to ensure maximum efficiency.
- Governance & Standards: Formulate, implement, and maintain robust governance frameworks, policies, standards, and procedures for data center management and operations.
skills & experiences required.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 8+ years of proven experience in a leadership role within a large-scale data center environment; prior experience managing a 24/7 Tier 3 (or above) data center is highly preferred. A
- With a background working within banking & financial services , large commercial enterprises, or service providers.
- Familiarity with data center facility management hardware and software, capacity, security protection/defense toolsets, and IT service management platforms.
- Proven experience managing enterprise-level data center projects from conception to completion.
- Familiarity with industry best practices and audit requirements; CCNA, CDCP, and ITIL certifications are a significant plus.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficient in English and Chinese; currently based in Hong Kong with a valid work permit. Experience working or studying overseas is advantageous.
- A "down-to-earth" professional who is willing to conduct on-site visits and actively engage in operational aspects, rather than focusing solely on strategy or management.
