Randstad is working with a well-established corporation and they are looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer with previous relevant experience in overseeing and optimizing server environments and core system infrastructure.
about the job.
- Provide administration for server hardware and storage systems, ensuring high availability and peak performance.
- Monitor server health, perform system upgrades, and provide timely troubleshooting for technical issues.
- Implement and oversee backup solutions to ensure data availability; actively participate in Disaster Recovery planning and testing.
- Manage and optimize VMware infrastructure, including ESXi hosts, vCenter, and virtual networking/storage.
- Collaborate with the wider IT department on documentation and audits to maintain ISO 27001 standards.
skills & experiences required.
- Associate Degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 4+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, specializing in server installation, configuration, and administration.
- Strong knowledge of Virtualization (VMware), Operating Systems (Windows & Linux), firewalls, and backup solutions.
- Prior experience managing external vendors and service providers is a plus.
- Excellent communication and analytical troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in Cantonese is a must.
- Candidates with less experience will be considered for the Infrastructure Engineer level.
