The Finance and Actuarial team is a collaborative unit focused on ensuring the highest standards of financial integrity. You will join a group of specialists dedicated to the ongoing refinement of IFRS 17 reporting frameworks. about the job.
Lead the preparation and review of financial statements in full compliance with the IFRS 17 accounting standard.
Oversee the calculation and analysis of the Contractual Service Margin (CSM) and Loss Component across various product lines.
Collaborate with the Actuarial team to ensure the consistency of data flow between actuarial models and the general ledger.
Develop and maintain robust internal controls and documentation for the IFRS 17 reporting process.
Provide technical accounting advice on the impact of new insurance products on financial performance and capital requirements.
Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies regarding IFRS 17 disclosures and technical interpretations.
skills & experience required.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
CPA or equivalent professional accounting qualification is mandatory.
Minimum 8 years of experience in financial reporting or audit within the insurance industry.
Deep technical knowledge of IFRS 17 and IFRS 9 standards is essential.
Proven experience in managing complex financial reporting projects and stakeholder engagement.
Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin is required to communicate effectively across the group’s regional offices.
