1. Daily Fund Operations Management:
You will supervise the daily fund operations by overseeing the organization of project initiation and decision-making meetings, ensuring the accurate recording of minutes and the effective follow-up on all resolutions. This role is responsible for reviewing and approving monthly fund reports to ensure accuracy and provide decision support, while also directing the team's efforts in tracking market dynamics and project progress to maintain the project database and assist the investment team.
2. Fund Establishment and Support:
Lead the establishment of primary market funds, such as private equity and venture capital (PE/VC) funds focused on the AI, Technology, Entertainment, and E-commerce sectors, in Hong Kong and relevant offshore centers (e.g., Cayman Islands, BVI). This includes, but is not limited to, company registration and fund structure setup, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements from bodies such as the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC).
3. Fund Valuation and Accounting:
... - Accurately value complex financial instruments such as unlisted equity, convertible bonds, and preferred stocks, utilizing a combination of valuation models including the income approach, market approach, and cost approach, to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations.
- Regularly complete monthly, quarterly, and annual fund valuation reports. The reports should cover portfolio analysis, explanations for valuation adjustments, etc., and be disclosed to management, investors, and regulatory authorities.
- Lead the daily accounting work of the fund, including trade confirmation, expense accrual, income recognition, etc., to ensure the authenticity and completeness of financial data.
4. Distribution and Liquidation Management:
- Formulate and execute the fund's income distribution plan. Accurately calculate the returns due to each investor based on the distribution clauses in the fund agreement and coordinate with the custodian bank to complete fund transfers.
- During the fund redemption or liquidation phase, be responsible for asset disposal, settlement of credits and debts, and distribution of remaining assets. Ensure the liquidation process is legal, compliant, efficient, and orderly, and submit a liquidation report to investors and regulatory bodies.
5. Post-investment Management Support:
- Collaborate with the investment team on post-investment management tasks. Regularly collect and organize operational data, financial statements, and other information from our portfolio companies in the AI, Tech, Entertainment, and E-commerce industries to provide decision-making support to the investment team.
- Assist the investment team with updating and adjusting the valuations of portfolio companies, track the progress of project exits, and provide relevant data and analysis.
skills & experiences required.
Bachelor's degree or above, with a preference for majors in Finance, Economics, Management, or related fields. Graduates from well-known overseas universities or local Hong Kong universities are preferred.
A minimum of 3 years of experience in primary market fund operations. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in private equity (PE) or venture capital (VC) fund operations at well-known financial institutions in Hong Kong or internationally; experience with funds focused on AI, Technology, Entertainment, or E-commerce sectors is highly desirable.
Excellent communication, coordination, and teamwork skills,
Strong data analysis and logical thinking abilities.
Good written and verbal communication skills in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
