Commencing a major digital transformation ahead of a target launch in early 2027, the firm is transitioning core legacy infrastructure into a modern, scalable web and mobile trading engine.

You will join a focused cross-border product design and engineering ecosystem as the principal functional authority in Hong Kong. Operating as a 100% Individual Contributor (IC), you will serve as the core bridge between Hong Kong business stakeholders, local market regulators, and Mainland China-based software development teams.
about the job.
- Lead qualitative and quantitative user research with Hong Kong retail investors to identify trading behaviors, workflow friction, and feature expectations.
- Re-architect core retail brokerage and wealth management workflows from scratch, including e-KYC/onboarding, HKEX order execution, live market data feeds, portfolio management, margin financing, and mutual fund subscriptions.
- Design intuitive user journeys, interaction flows, and high-fidelity wireframes using modern design tools such as Figma and Axure.
- Translate business needs into comprehensive Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), functional specs, and user stories for Mainland China-based R&D teams.
- Facilitate daily Agile/Scrum ceremonies with cross-border engineering teams to clarify specifications, manage product backlogs, and ensure timely delivery.
- Ensure all trading and wealth capabilities strictly comply with SFC regulatory codes, HKEX market practices, and local clearing/settlement standards.
- Coordinate functional integrations with third-party vendors, including market data providers (HKEX OMD), clearinghouses, and payment gateways.
skills & experience required.
- 10+ years of digital product management experience within Hong Kong retail brokerages, securities firms, or Fintech platforms.
- Deep functional expertise in HKEX market structure, order types, execution mechanics, clearing/settlement processes, and retail wealth products (equities, mutual funds, bonds).
- Proven track record in hands-on user research, customer journey mapping, and designing modern retail Fintech UX/UI workflows.
- Demonstrated commitment to a high-impact Individual Contributor (IC) role, directly driving product execution without line management duties.
- Proven expertise writing technical PRDs and collaborating directly with Mainland China engineering teams in an Agile delivery environment.
- Native or Fluent Mandarin (essential for daily technical collaboration with China engineering teams) alongside strong Cantonese and English for Hong Kong stakeholder management.
