In this hands-on role, you will take ownership of the end-to-end monthly payroll processing for the Hong Kong office (mid-sized entity), while providing occasional regional cross-border backup support.
You will work closely with internal HR, Finance, and Regional Senior Management, as well as collaborate with international payroll teams to ensure seamless execution, tax compliance, and accurate reporting.

End-to-End Payroll: Deliver accurate, timely monthly payroll processing for Hong Kong staff, including base salaries, bonuses, and statutory deductions.
Statutory Compliance & Filings: Manage all local MPF administration, monthly government submissions, and annual tax filings (IR56 series) in strict adherence to Hong Kong labor laws.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with local HR and Finance teams to collate joiner/leaver data, align on payroll funding, and coordinate with overseas counterpart teams for final monthly payment releases.
Queries & Stakeholder Support: Serve as the main point of contact for employee payroll queries, providing guidance on tax matters and statutory deductions to local staff and management.
Reporting & Audits: Prepare monthly payroll summaries, headcount reports, and journal data for Finance. Maintain comprehensive digital records to support internal and external audit requirements.
Continuous Improvement: Support payroll system updates/UAT testing and actively identify ways to enhance local workflow efficiency.
key requirements.
2–3+ years of hands-on Hong Kong payroll experience, preferably gained within Financial Services, Professional Services, or a fast-paced corporate environment.
Sound understanding of Hong Kong Employment Ordinance, MPF regulations, and tax filing procedures.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Proficiency with global HR Information Systems (HRIS) and regional payroll databases.
