Key Responsibilities
- KOL Engagement & Scientific Exchange: Map, profile, and build professional relationships with KOLs and relevant stakeholders based on strategic segmentation. Provide accurate scientific data on new treatment options and liaise with experts to support the listing of products in medical guidelines.
- Clinical Development & IIT Support: Identify appropriate clinical investigators to facilitate placement into sponsored clinical trials. Champion the Investigator-Initiated Trials (IIT) process from research proposal to study completion and publication, ensuring investigators are guided on legal, financial, and local compliance regulations.
- Strategic Insights & Information Management: Collect, analyze, and report actionable insights from the field to impact development plans and trial designs. Support scientific meetings, evaluate competitive market intelligence, and share strategic impacts internally.
- Cross-Functional Medical Leadership: Provide vital medical support and disease-state training to internal commercial teams (Sales, Marketing). Collaborate proactively with Market Access and Business Franchise Teams to screen and assess new business opportunities.
- Compliance & Corporate Support: Act with the highest ethics and integrity in compliance with all company standards and local regulations. Assist Corporate Communications in handling medically related media inquiries and drive the generation of high-quality publications and collateral materials.
Candidate Requirements
- Academic Background: An advanced degree in Life Sciences (MD, PharmD, or PhD) is required.
- Industry Experience: 5 to 7 years of hands-on Medical Affairs experience within a Multinational Pharmaceutical (MNC) environment. A proven track record in Oncology is highly preferred.
- Technical Expertise: A robust understanding of the local healthcare environment, pharmaceutical regulatory codes, medical governance frameworks, and clinical practices. Must possess high proficiency in scientific writing and clinical data interpretation.
- Leadership & Communication: Strong strategic vision, proven team coordination skills, and expert-level stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Languages: Excellent written and oral communication skills with full fluency in both English and Chinese.
