- As the key thought leader within the IT department, you will manage resources and spearhead both project and operational aspects, encompassing retail technologies, infrastructure, and system development.
- Gathering comprehensive requirements from senior business stakeholders to define and manage strategic initiatives, technology roadmaps, and project delivery plans.
- Plan and execute IT roadmaps that strategically address digital needs and opportunities, aligning with global IT strategies emanating from our European headquarters.
- Review and manage manpower allocation, budget adherence, and project timelines based on established priorities.
- Assign tasks, mentor, and motivate teams to ensure on-time delivery and support with a positive outcome
- Manage the implementation and support of POS systems used in the retail environment.
- Oversee the management and maintenance of the IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, databases, and security systems.
- Collaborate with technology vendors and service providers, manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and evaluate vendor performance.
skills & experiences required.
- Bachelor's Degree or above in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including prior experience in an IT team leadership role within the retail industry, coupled with a strong understanding of pertinent business workflows and best practices.
- Robust knowledge of systems and technologies, such as POS and CRM systems, or relevant technologies to support back-office operations (such as HR, A&F).
- Proven experience in implementing and managing complex IT systems and infrastructure, such as network, server, virtualization, back-up solutions, and business applications etc.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies, effective team leadership, and experience with code reviews and managing third-party vendors would be advantageous.
- Strong business acumen, coupled with exceptional communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Fluency in both spoken Chinese and English is essential, and current residency in Hong Kong with a valid work permit is a must.
- Significant experience in budget management, vendor relationship management, and effective stakeholder engagement.
