- Define and enforce an enterprise-wide data management strategy and framework, ensuring full alignment with industry standards.
- Act as the primary partner to business units and operations; aligning technical data capabilities with commercial goals to ensure analytics are embedded in every key decision.
- Define the roadmap for transforming data into strategic business assets and insights, ensuring all information systems support high-level decision-making and performance.
- Oversee the end-to-end reporting ecosystem, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of local regulatory filings and head-office requirements.
- Lead the development and deployment of sophisticated data products. This includes identifying untapped data sources (alternative data, external feeds) to expand market share and impact the bottom line
skills & experiences required.
- Bachelor’s Degree or above in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- With a proven track record in leadership roles including 10+ years of experience in the data space - including but not limited to data analytics, management, business intelligence, governance, security, and reporting within the banking and financial services industries.
- A proven track record of managing data within highly regulated environments and deep knowledge of data-related compliance efforts.
- Strong people management skills, with a proven ability to lead and inspire a multi-disciplinary department/teams of data professionals.
- Exceptional business acumen with the ability to build trusted relationships and present effectively to both technical teams and non-technical senior leaders.
- Proficiency in both Chinese and English is a must; currently based in Hong Kong with a valid work permit.
