Our client is a high-growth corporate with a startup culture that is currently scaling its operations across the region. We are currently hiring a Financial Controller based in HK as a one man band to manage their finance function.
Responsibilities:
- Directing the entire finance function as a solo contributor with a focus on both high-level strategy and day-to-day execution.
- Establishing robust internal controls and financial processes that align with global MNC standards.
- Managing the full spectrum of financial accounting, including monthly closing, tax compliance, and statutory reporting.
- Leading the budgeting and forecasting cycles to provide the leadership team with actionable commercial insights.
- Overseeing cash flow management and treasury functions to ensure optimal liquidity for scaling operations.
- Partnering closely with department heads to drive cost-efficiency and support data-driven decision-making.
- Serving as the primary point of contact for external auditors, tax consultants, and banking partners.
- Driving the implementation or enhancement of ERP systems to streamline financial data workflows.
- Navigating complex regulatory landscapes to ensure the entity remains compliant with local and international benchmarks.
- Preparing comprehensive financial board packs that communicate business performance to key stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, business or related field
- Professional qualifications such as HKICPA/ ACCA or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years of experience in relevant role, candidate with sizable audit firm/ Big 4 experience in the past is a plus
- Proven ability to thrive in a self-directed, "one-man-band" capacity
- Good commands in English and Chinese
- Strong communication skills
