Senior Financial Controller - Conglomerate (Hong Kong)
An established multi-strategy conglomerate and family office is seeking a Senior Financial Controller in Hong Kong. This pivotal role oversees strategic financial operations, investment holding entities, and regulatory reporting. The successful candidate will leverage their CPA qualification and Big 4 background to drive corporate governance, tax planning, and portfolio optimisation.

You will lead a team and collaborate closely with internal directors, legal counsels, and external institutional partners to safeguard the group’s financial ecosystem.
about the job.
Oversee the comprehensive financial management, consolidation, and accounting operations for the conglomerate and its underlying investments.
Formulate and execute tax planning strategies, cross-border asset structuring, and trust administration policies to optimise wealth preservation.
Lead the preparation of monthly management reports, annual budget forecasts, and cash flow analysis for presentation to the board of directors.
Ensure full compliance with local regulatory frameworks, including Inland Revenue Department (IRD) requirements
Evaluate financial performance, internal controls, and corporate governance frameworks to mitigate operational risks across global investment portfolios.
Coordinate seamlessly with external auditors, tax advisors, legal consultants, and financial institutions.
skills & experience required.
Minimum 15 years of post-qualification accounting experience, with at least 4 years in a senior managerial capacity within a conglomerate, family office, or asset management firm.
Proven background training from a Big 4 international accounting firm is highly preferred.
Possession of a recognized professional accounting qualification is mandatory (CPA / ACCA / CA or equivalent).
Demonstrated expertise in international tax planning, corporate structuring, and multi-currency consolidation.
Strong strategic mindset with excellent communication, presentation, and leadership capabilities.
Excellent command of English, alongside fluent Cantonese and Mandarin proficiency to engage effectively with regional stakeholders.
