Finance Manager, up to 55k
Our client is a well-established company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, operating across multiple sectors. They are seeking a highly competent and hands-on Finance Manager to lead a small team and oversee their Hong Kong business unit, focusing specifically on Local Statutory Accounts and Financial Operations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the preparation of full sets of accounts for the Hong Kong entity.
- Oversee and ensure strong internal finance and accounting controls for the Hong Kong segment.
- Provide timely and accurate financial input to the department head and authorized staff to facilitate key decision-making.
- Enhance and streamline the accounting and treasury functions related to segment operations in Hong Kong.
- Support the department head and team in coordinating all finance-related matters for the segment.
- Prepare management reports, budgetary plans, and detailed financial analysis for senior leadership review.
- Assist management with segment performance index review and financial analysis.
- Manage annual and interim financial reporting, statutory audited accounts, tax planning/filing, and loan covenant compliance.
- Liaise with banks, regulatory bodies, and joint venture parties for daily treasury, accounting, and operational requirements.
- Undertake ad hoc assignments, including support for M&A activities and other business transactions.
- Ensure professional coordination and fluid communication across departments, demonstrating high attention to detail.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Business/ Accounting/ Finance or related field
- Professional qualification e.g. ACCA / HKICPA or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience with at least two years gained within a Big 4 or large audit firm plus commercial experience.
- Strong analytical capabilities combined with excellent organizational skills.
