• Providing strategic direction and oversight for subsidiary accounts, entrepreneurship, Mainland initiatives, and operations, as well as financial management for educational programs and donations.
• Developing strategies to enhance financial sustainability in all education-related activities, including those on the Mainland.
• Overseeing financial management, tax compliance, and external audit requirements for educational programs conducted in Hong Kong, Mainland China, and Macau, and coordinating with partner institutions on financial matters.
• Creating customized risk assessment and mitigation strategies for the organization and its subsidiaries.
• Conducting feasibility studies, financial modeling, and scenario analysis to support the development of new educational and research entities in Hong Kong and the Mainland.
• Developing and managing financial plans and budgets for subsidiaries, Mainland projects, and other education-related activities, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities, cost-effectiveness, and adherence to local regulations.
• Serving as a project manager or key contributor for significant initiatives, coordinating with various stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
• Managing the accounting and finance functions for community colleges and colleges of professional and continuing education.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory and external requirements, and managing financial risks for the organization's activities and developments.
• Initiating continuous improvements in guidelines, procedures, and workflows, and introducing innovative developments in financial planning and management practices to enhance operational efficiency.
• Cultivating and maintaining robust relationships with key stakeholders, including senior management, academic and non-academic units, and external partners.
• Leading, mentoring, supervising, and developing subordinates to foster a high-performance culture and ensure ongoing professional development opportunities for team members.
• Participating in the overall management of the Finance Office.
• Performing other duties as assigned by the Director of Finance or Senior Management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in relevant discipline including accounting, finance, business etc
• Minimum 10 years of experience with at least 5 years at a senior level within sizable organizations. Candidates have experience overseeing Mainland China business is highly desirable.
• Solid experience in budgeting, financial and management reporting, and the development and implementation of IT systems.
• Strong self-motivation, high ethical standards, and a strong commitment, coupled with the ability to learn quickly and adapt effectively.
• Demonstrated business acumen and innovation capabilities to meet new challenges.
• Strong organizational skills, perseverance, and leadership abilities that facilitate effective engagement with various stakeholders.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
• An excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua.
