As the Director of Trade Operations, you will provide strategic oversight for the bank’s Comprehensive Trade Finance function. Your mission is to manage the full lifecycle of complex trade instruments—including Letters of Credit, Collections, and Financing—while ensuring absolute adherence to international ICC standards and global regulatory requirements.
End-to-End Trade Management: Oversee the complete lifecycle of Inward and Outward Bills, including L/C issuance, advising, negotiation, and discounting.
Structured Financing: Direct specialized trade products such as Supply Chain Finance, Receivable Finance, and Factoring to optimize client working capital.
Technical Authority: Act as the final escalation point for document checking under UCP 600/ISBP and ensure rigorous AML/KYC trade screening.
Strategic Transformation: Lead digital initiatives and system enhancements (e.g., Exim Bills) to drive operational efficiency and straight-through processing.
Risk & Stakeholder Governance: Partner with Front Office, Risk, and Legal teams to approve new business products and manage global credit exposure.

Experience: 10–15+ years in banking operations, with a mastery of trade finance and global markets.
Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of international trade rules (UCP 600, URC 522, ISP98) and structured trade products.
Leadership: Proven track record in managing large-scale, cross-functional teams and complex change management projects.
Education/Language: University degree required; proficiency in English is essential, and Japanese language skills are highly valued.
