- Compliance Advisory: Serve as a subject matter expert for business units, providing clear interpretation and guidance on the implementation of compliance requirements.
- Regulatory Intelligence: Monitor and collect updates on rules, regulations, and legislation from local, mainland, and overseas authorities; assess their impact on existing bank policies.
- Policy Review: Regularly evaluate and update in-house compliance policies and work procedures to reflect the latest statutory requirements.
- Examination Coordination: Take a lead role in coordinating internal audits and external regulatory examinations, ensuring all documentation is accurate and submitted on time.
- Process Improvement: Review existing guidelines and take follow-up actions to enhance the bank’s control environment.
- Reporting: Maintain transparent communication with senior management regarding work progress and potential regulatory risks.
skills & experiences required.- University degree or above, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Law, or Business Administration.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in banking compliance or regulatory affairs.
- Strong foundational knowledge of general banking operations and the specific legal/regulatory context of the Hong Kong market.
- Self-motivated and analytical, with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; fluency in English and Chinese (both written and spoken) is essential.
- Proficiency in standard office applications (MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
