CFO, HK listed property developer
Our client is a prominent Chinese property developer with a strong presence in the market, listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. They have a diverse portfolio and are currently seeking a CFO to lead their Hong Kong-listed entity while also spearheading expansion into the UK market.
This role requires a unique blend of strategic leadership and financial management. You will serve as the key driver of growth and the guardian of financial stability within a complex, cross-cultural environment. The position holds full accountability for both strategic oversight and financial stewardship of the company's international operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead all aspects of project development, from initial land acquisition and planning through to construction and sales.
 - Develop and implement long-term business and market expansion strategies.
 - Build and maintain crucial relationships with local government bodies, partners, banks, and investors.
 - Represent the company brand and enhance its presence in the local real estate and hospitality sectors.
 - Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for all entities.
 - Manage capital planning, treasury, and cash flow optimization.
 - Lead fundraising efforts and investor relations activities.
 - Ensure strong internal controls, compliance with local and international standards, and robust risk management.
 - Perform financial due diligence, create cash flow models, and underwrite new deals.
 - Oversee construction project finances, including cost controls and loan draws.
 - Analyze asset performance and provide strategic oversight for existing properties.
 - Mentor and lead local finance and operations teams to foster a high-performance culture.
 
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 15 years in progressive leadership roles within real estate
 - CPA/ ACCA or equivalent certifications
 - A strong understanding of the UK property markets, financial regulations, and construction practices is required.
 - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
 - The ability to be hands-on and involved in sourcing, structuring, and negotiating deals.
 - Experience in oversea market expansion is highly preferred, especially in the UK market
