Conduct initial and ongoing Know Your Customer (KYC) due diligence and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) on new and existing corporate clients.
Review and verify client identification documents, corporate structures, and Ultimate Beneficial Owners (UBOs) to assess risk profiles.
Perform comprehensive risk assessments on customer information, transactions, and negative media to mitigate money laundering and terrorist financing risks.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Relationship Managers and Compliance, to resolve complex AML issues and ensure timely case closure.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date KYC records to satisfy internal policies and regulatory audit requirements.
Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and industry best practices to ensure departmental workflows remain compliant.
Support periodic KYC reviews, remediation projects, and the implementation of new KYC policies or digital systems.
skills & experiences required.
University degree holder, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in corporate banking KYC/AML operations.
Strong technical knowledge of Hong Kong regulatory requirements (HKMA/SFC) and AML regulations.
Detail-oriented and analytical mindset with robust problem-solving capabilities.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to function effectively as a team player.
Proficiency in English and Chinese is required.
Proficiency in Japanese is highly advantageous for communicating with the head office and specific client segments.
