about the job.
- Oversee daily general ledger accounting, journal voucher entries, bank reconciliations, and routine financial control operations.
- Prepare accurate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial statements in strict compliance with HKFRS accounting standards.
- Assist in the preparation and review of statutory regulatory returns for submission to the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA).
- Conduct detailed financial variance analysis, operating expense reviews, and management commentary for regional head office reporting packages.
- Act as a key liaison with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies during statutory audit cycles and tax compliance filings.
- Drive continuous process optimisation across accounting workflows and participate in system enhancement projects for financial automation.
skills & experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.
- Member or finalist of CPA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional accounting body.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in financial reporting, statutory accounting, or audit within a commercial bank, financial institution, or Big 4 / professional accounting firm.
- Solid technical knowledge of HKFRS standards and basic understanding of HKMA regulatory reporting frameworks.
- Strong analytical mindset, high attention to detail, and proficiency in advanced Excel and financial accounting systems.
- Fluency in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin is mandatory to effectively coordinate with regional business units, local teams, and head office stakeholders.
