about the job.This role is designed for an AML professional who is passionate about digital assets. You will lead the firm’s AML/CFT framework, ensuring compliance with both the HKMA’s new stablecoin regulations and the SFC’s VATP guidelines.
- Policy Architecture: Develop and update AML/KYC policies tailored for virtual asset transactions and institutional onboarding.
- On-Chain Surveillance: Utilize tools like Chainalysis or Elliptic to monitor "on-chain" fund flows and manage "Travel Rule" compliance.
... - High-Risk Advisory: Conduct Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) on complex corporate structures and high-net-worth crypto investors.
- STR Reporting: Lead the investigation of suspicious activities and manage the submission of Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) to the JFIU.
skills & experiences required.- Degree holder with at least 5 years of AML/FCC experience.
- Previous experience in Fintech, Virtual Assets (VATP), or Crypto is highly preferred.
- Professional certification such as CAMS or AAMLP is required.
- Deep understanding of blockchain technology, "Travel Rule" protocols, and non-custodial wallet risks.
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to communicate technical risks to non-technical stakeholders.
