Randstad – one of the world's leading human resources solutions agencies – has crowned CLP Power Hong Kong Limited as the Most Attractive Employer in Hong Kong SAR for 2019.

This is CLP Power Hong Kong Limited's third time taking the number one spot as the Most Attractive Employer in Hong Kong SAR in the past five years, thereby entering the Randstad’s global ‘Hall of Fame’, which honours companies for their strong consecutive performance in employer branding.

The survey is the most representative and independent employer brand research in the world, providing insights from more than 200,000 respondents and 6,162 companies in 32 markets worldwide, which include 3,731 employees and job seekers who are based in Hong Kong SAR. The research explores workers’ perceptions of employer brands and provides an understanding of the motivation factors of employees and job seekers.

Natellie Sun, Managing Director at Randstad Hong Kong said, “We would like to wholeheartedly congratulate the 2019 winners of the Randstad’s Employer Brand Awards for their consistent effort in building and delivering a strong and attractive employer brand in Hong Kong SAR. Companies are recognising the long-term benefits of employer branding, as they can have access to a larger talent pool and benefit from lower turnover and quicker hiring of quality candidates. We hope that the Randstad Employer Brand Research will continue to provide insights to our valued clients on how to engage with in-demand job seekers and valued employees to stay competitive in today’s tight labour environment.”

about randstad employer brand research

Celebrating its 18th edition globally, the awards based on the outcome of the Randstad Employer Brand Research are presented each year to the most attractive employers in 30 markets across the globe. It is the most representative and inclusive employer brand research in the world.

The outcomes are based on public perceptions and focus on three main areas: overall brand awareness, absolute attractiveness and relative attractiveness. This creates a level playing field for all competing companies instead of giving an advantage to large multinationals with higher name recognition than the smaller companies. The awards are not open for nomination and the results are based solely on the opinions and votes of the local workforce – making it the only award that is truly representing ‘the people’s choice

The 75 largest companies were selected in each participating market, usually with more than 1,000 employees. This list is presented to a representative cross section of respondents based on region, age and gender. The respondents were asked to identify companies they recognise and indicate if they would like to work for them. This was then followed up with an evaluation of attractiveness factors, such as salary, benefits, work atmosphere and job content and more, for each of the companies.
