• Optimize and maintain Unix/Linux server environments, focusing on key distributions like Red Hat and Ubuntu
• Ensure the performance and reliability of data storage clusters through proactive management
• Enforce system security and operational compliance by performing regular activities such as patch management, vulnerability assessments, and system monitoring, all in strict accordance with organizational guidelines
• Collaborate with various cross-functional teams to design, test, and deploy robust technical solutions
• Provide prompt troubleshooting and resolution for any system-related issues that arise

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in server administration and data centre operations
• Proficiency in Unix/Linux environments, specifically with Red Hat and Ubuntu distributions
• Foundational working knowledge of major cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Cloud)
• Experience with scripting language such as Python, BASH, Java, or Perl
• Hands-on experience with SLURM workload manager
• Strong understanding of storage technologies and soltuions (OneFS and Dell PowerScale)
• Experience planning and executing data centre relocations including test migrations and readiness validation
• Working knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, network infrastructure, and security platforms
• Excellent communication skills in Cantonese and English
