About the Job
This is a 2-year renewable contract position focusing on the design, development, and end-to-end delivery of core system applications. Key responsibilities include:
Application Lifecycle Management: Participate actively in the entire application development lifecycle, from initial user requirement collection through to final program release.
System Design & UAT: Collect and analyze complex user requirements, conduct functional system design, oversee quality assurance, and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
Vendor & Team Collaboration: Partner closely with external vendors and internal team members to ensure all applications are built in strict accordance with functional and programming specifications.
Security & Compliance: Ensure that crucial IT security controls and regulatory compliance requirements are seamlessly integrated into all system development processes.
Project Leadership: Successfully lead, manage, and deliver assigned IT projects on time and within scope.
Skills & Experiences Required
Education: University degree or Higher Diploma in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
Industry Experience: Working experience within a personal loan-related or consumer finance business is highly preferred.
Technical Experience: At least 6 years of experience in application development
Core Architecture: Proficient in articulating system design choices from both functional and non-functional perspectives. Highly proficient in modern Java and the Spring framework
Cloud & DevOps: Solid working knowledge of Cloud-Native Architecture concepts and tools, such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
Desirable Skills: Knowledge of modern front-end/mobile app frameworks (e.g., Angular.js, Vue.js, React/React Native, Flutter) or ISO 27001 standards is considered a strong advantage.
Attributes: Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills, with a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to teamwork. Fluency in spoken and written English and Chinese is required.
