Design and maintain the architectural framework for IT systems and applications, supporting both internal operations and external partnerships
Set up and manage Kubernetes (k8s) clusters for clinical applications and databases in on-premises and hybrid-cloud environments, ensuring robust security, effective patch management, and enhancing CI/CD pipelines with automated testing and code scanning
Implement Single Sign-On (SSO) solutions and deploy comprehensive monitoring tools for system log oversight
Partner with internal and external development teams to strategize, co-develop, and execute the migration of applications to k8s clusters, actively troubleshooting technical issues
Evaluate and propose emerging technologies to optimize workflows, presenting these insights to management, and enforcing corporate governance and industry best practices
Collaborate with project management teams and clinical stakeholders to capture requirements, ensuring successful and timely project delivery
Support daily operations, including post-release testing and providing technical mentorship to junior staff

skills & experiences required.

A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Minimum 6 years of experience in application and/or backend development
Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (k8s), Helm charts configuration commands (e.g., kubectl, helm), and CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins)
Strong Linux scripting skills and proficiency in application deployment, network security, and crediential management
Good programming skills in ReactJS, nodeJS, Python, PHP, along with knowledge of automated testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Jest/Mocha, Selenium, and Semgrep)
Solid understanding of database adminstration and schema designs (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, MongoDB)
Proficiency with project managements tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Trello)
Experience in setting up, integrating, and maintaining code quality and vulnerability scanning tools
In-depth knowledge of large-scale system design principles, public cloud services, and API gateways
Experience working within a sizeable organization, including supervisory or mentorship responsibilities
Excellent communication skills in Cantonese and English
