Lead application development by building and maintaining clinical applications and APIs that integrate seamlessly across our on-premises and hybrid-cloud environments.
Enhance our bioinformatics platform to ensure it is scalable, highly available, and secure.
Automate workflows by implementing and managing CI/CD pipelines to streamline processes for patient recruitment, data analysis, and reporting.
Manage database systems including administration, schema design, and access control to maintain high security standards for critical application databases.
Collaborate closely with project managers, doctors, nurses, and other clinical professionals to define requirements and deliver projects on time.
Support critical operations for our flagship project, including post-release testing and providing on-site support when necessary.
Develop automated reports for statistical analysis and application monitoring to provide valuable insights.
Ensure quality and reliability by creating and executing both manual and automated test cases, supported by comprehensive documentation.
Mentor and guide junior team members, providing technical expertise and fostering a culture of excellence.
Contribute to other projects as assigned by senior leadership.

skills & experiences required.

A degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
A minimum of 6 years of experience in application and backend development.
Proficiency in frontend and backend API development, including React.js, Node.js, PHP, Java, and Spring Boot.
Background in database administration and schema design using PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, or MongoDB.
Strong scripting abilities in a Linux environment.
Experience with DevOps practices, including Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools like GitLab or Jenkins.
An understanding of system architecture and design principles for large-scale systems.
Excellent communication skills in English and Cantonese.
