- Lead a sourcing team to execute buying strategies set by management.
- Supervise and participate in business trips with buyers to visit vendors and factories.
- Negotiate product pricing with vendors to secure the best deals.
- Stay informed on market trends, sales data, and business strategies by communicating regularly with management.
- Identify new sourcing opportunities by evaluating local and international markets to find the best vendors for specific products.
- Organise vendor and trade show trips, including preparing cost-benefit proposals and coordinating team and buyer attendance.
- Oversee order fulfilment by ensuring vendors meet quality standards and resolving any production issues. This includes performing quality checks at factories and warehouses as needed.
skills & experiences required.
- Attained Bachelor degree with > 5 years of working experience in sourcing or related field of which > 2 years of working experience in buying office or related field serving US market
- High language proficiency in both English and Chinese, fluency in other languages will be an added advantage
- Strong interpersonal skills is preferable
- In-depth knowledge of buying office, international logistics and hands-on trading approach is preferable
- Willing to travel frequently to explore new business opportunities
