- Define and maintain the roadmap, architectural principles, best practices, tech stack, and guidelines for enterprise applications, ensuring alignment with IT policies and governance across various business domains.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to translate strategic requirements into robust technical specifications and architectural blueprints.
- Identify and recommend cutting-edge application technologies, planning and coordinating architecture activities that support evolving business needs.
- Review architectural designs from other solution architects and provide strategic guidance and mentorship to development teams on design patterns and software strategy.
- Research and share the latest technology trends and emerging platforms to support innovative business initiatives.
- Oversee architectural governance, ensuring application portfolios adhere to established standards, security best practices, and scalability requirements.
- Drive modernization and rationalization of existing application landscapes, identifying opportunities for consolidation, re-platforming, and digital transformation.
skills & experiences required.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- 12+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5+ years as a Solution Architect, Application Architect, or in a similar role leading architecture strategy for enterprise-level businesses. (open to all industries).
- Proven track record in designing scalable, resilient enterprise application architectures and roadmaps for large-scale software projects.
- In-depth knowledge of modern web/mobile development methodologies, architectural patterns (e.g., microservices), and integration patterns (e.g., APIs).
- Technical proficiency in various programming languages, frameworks, and database technologies.
- Knowledge of major cloud platforms (such as Azure, AWS) specifically in designing cloud-native applications and serverless architectures.
- Good understanding of industry best practices and standards for application development and architecture.
- Proficiency with application security best practices, data architecture principles, and software quality assurance.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in both Chinese and English; and currently based in Hong Kong with a valid work permit.
