Regional Financial Controller, Logistic, Up to 65k
Our client is a rapidly expanding logistics firm with significant business growth initiatives in China and Hong Kong. They are seeking a highly experienced Financial Controller to be based in their Hong Kong regional office, overseeing the regional finance teams throughout the Greater China region , primarily focusing on FP&A, Audit, and Transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Report to the senior management team while leading a substantial finance team across Greater China regions.
- Partner with the accounting team to lead the consolidation and in-depth analysis of financial statements.
- Lead the regional budgeting process, coordinating closely with regional teams.
- Analyze budget variances and ensure financial targets are aligned with overall growth strategies.
- Support strategic financial modelling for market expansion and special projects.
- Optimizing cash flow involves strategically managing the inflow and outflow of funds to ensure liquidity, support operations, and enable strategic investments.
- Ensure full compliance with China tax laws, including VAT and customs regulations, as well as IFRS/GAAP and internal corporate policies.
- Coordinate with local finance teams to address tax assessments and audits effectively.
- Ensure timely resolution of audit findings and drive timely statutory audits to achieve unqualified opinions.
- Oversee the completion and review of internal compliance checklists.
- Address internal audit findings and strengthen internal controls and compliance
- Act as a strategic advisor to commercial and operational leaders, offering valuable financial insights.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
- HKICPA/ CPA/ ACCA or equivalent is required
- Minimum 8 years of experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role, candidate with experience from logistic industry would be a plus
- Proven experience in leading a sizable finance teams across China is a MUST
- Strong understanding and practical experience with China tax laws, including VAT and customs regulations, as well as IFRS
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and trends.
- Proficiency in financial software and systems, including ERP systems and advanced Excel.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior management and cross-functional teams.
- Fluency in English and Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) is essential.
