This role offers a unique blend of strategic and hands-on portfolio management. You will be empowered to formulate investment strategies, manage substantial fund-of-funds portfolios, and work with a world-class team to deliver outperformance.
Key Responsibilities Will Include:
Investment Strategy & Asset Allocation:
Conduct in-depth global and local macroeconomic research to formulate tactical asset allocation strategies for multi-asset products.
Build and maintain sophisticated quantitative models to identify investment opportunities and forecast market trends.
Translate economic conditions, market developments, and asset valuations into actionable investment strategies and recommendations.
Fund-of-Funds Portfolio Management:
Perform daily portfolio management across the company's MPF, ORSO, and ILAS platforms with the clear objective of delivering outperformance against benchmarks and peer groups.
Ensure all portfolios remain in strict compliance with internal guidelines and relevant regulations.
Manage HKD exposure and oversee FX hedging across the portfolios.
Assist with trade execution, post-trade monitoring, and provide monthly portfolio commentaries.
Fund Evaluation & Product Development:
Collaborate closely with fund researchers on quantitative and qualitative due diligence to select high-performing funds for the multi-manager products.
Participate in the ESG assessment of underlying funds.
Partner with the product team and liaise with fund managers to identify appropriate investment strategies and develop new funds.
Stakeholder Management:
Establish and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, including various teams within the Hong Kong business (e.g., ILAS & MPF), Group Investment, and the regional asset management entity in Singapore.
skills & experiences required.
Around 10 years of experience in investment and/or asset management.
A minimum of 5 years of public funds management experience, satisfying the "Key Person" requirement.
A postgraduate qualification in Finance, Economics, or a quantitative-related subject.
A relevant investment professional qualification such as CFA, FRM, or CAIA.
A current SFC Type 9 license holder.
An in-depth understanding of market dynamics across major asset classes (equities, bonds, currencies).
Strong presentation, report-writing, and project management skills.
You are required to obtain any relevant licenses if your job involves regulated activities.
