The individual will be responsible in delivering Music classes to secondary students following the IGCSE curriculum. The individual will have a deep knowledge of musical theory, a wide range of practical skills, and a commitment to nurturing a the music subject to students. This role involves teaching both classroom music and leading co-curricular activities, including choirs, ensembles, and musical productions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective music lessons following the school's curriculum (e.g. IGCSE, A-Levels, etc.)
• Adapt teaching methods to the diverse learning needs and abilities of students
• Assess, record, and report on the development progress of the students
• Develop and lead extra curricular activities related to Music such as (not limited to) choirs, orchestras, bands, musical drama
• Collaboration with other departments and lead students on school-wide events and productions eg. school musical, talent shows, seasonal performances, drama
• Communication with parents regarding student progress and school events.
• Stay current with best practices in music education through professional development.
• Manage and maintain the cleanliness, safety and good working order of music equipment and teaching environment

• Degree in Music, Music Education, or a related discipline, Master's degree is highly desirable.
• A recognized teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, B.Ed., M.Ed., etc.)
• Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in Music, preferably in an international school environment
• Experience with the IGCSE curriculum .
• Proven ability to teach and inspire students of various age groups
• Proficiency in playing one or more musical instruments (e.g., piano, guitar, strings, wind instruments).
• Experience in conducting choirs and/or instrumental ensembles.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Strong English language skills (both written and spoken), additional language skills is a bonus
