What You'll Do
As the Medical Affairs Manager for the speciality care portfolio, you will be the key medical and scientific expert, responsible for developing and executing the medical strategy in Hong Kong, ensuring scientific integrity, compliance, and patient focus.
Core Responsibilities
Scientific and Stakeholder Engagement: Build, enhance, and maintain credible, ethical engagement with Key External Experts (KEEs), scientific leaders, and healthcare professionals in the field.
Medical Strategy Execution: Develop and execute strategic medical programs, including scientific meetings, advisory boards, educational initiatives, and local evidence-generation plans (e.g., investigator-initiated studies) to address local data gaps and unmet medical needs.
Scientific Communication: Provide proactive, updated, and effective medical and scientific input to internal stakeholders (Marketing, Sales, Regulatory) during the pre-launch, peri-launch, and post-launch phases of specailty care products.
Compliance & Governance: Ensure all medical affairs activities, promotional materials, and scientific communications strictly adhere to local regulations, the HKAPI Code of Practice, and company policies.
Data Dissemination: Accurately communicate complex scientific data and information regarding our speciality care products to healthcare professionals through ethical and compliant channels.
Pharmacovigilance Support: Maintain competency in Adverse Drug Reaction (ADR) reporting and collaborate with relevant teams to ensure compliance with local pharmacovigilance regulations.
Budget & Project Management: Provide strategic input for overall medical activities and evidence generation plans with effective budget control and project management.
Essential Requirements
Education: University graduate in a science or related discipline (e.g., Pharmacy, Medicine, Life Sciences).
Experience: Minimum 4-5 years' experience in Medical Affairs within the pharmaceutical industry.
Therapeutic Knowledge: Experience of speciality care is required.
Regulatory & Ethical Knowledge: Possess a high ethical standard and solid knowledge of the HKAPI Code of Practices and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
Communication: Excellent in both written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin).
Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and project prioritization/management skills.
Technical: Sound proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Desirable Qualifications
Possess a higher degree such as PhD, MD, PharmD, or a Master's degree in a related scientific discipline.
Hong Kong Registered Pharmacist License or equivalent clinical background.
Previous experience launching new products or managing a portfolio in the Hong Kong market.
